The million dollar question. What is life ? What’s the meaning of life ?

If you ask a religious person he or she will tell you that it’s all about God. God chose to put us here. In this lifetime, he is continuously testing us. If you prove yourself to be truly a good person, then you will be forever happy, and you will own heaven. That can be a good reason for one to endure the pain, the downside of life and all the sh+t. Seems like the religion has all the answers to your questions, and all the answers are related to God.

On the other hand…

If you ask a scientist person, he or she, will start explaining you about astronomy, and all about Big Bang, the first organisms that ever existed on Earth, and how we evolved from monkeys to humans.

In my humble opinion, life is all about thinking positive, and all about love. If you want to live at least a decent life you gotta be positive in all that you do. Now this is weird, it’s weird even for me since I’m a more of a pessimistic person. But it’s true. Some statistic show, that people who accept their problems/conditions as being a part of their life, live a more peaceful and pleasant life.

You will probably think that money is what makes life peaceful and pleasant, and you probably got a part of the answer right. I belong to that category too. I think that money helps making life a lot …easier. But there are times when money is irrelevant. I can’t tell you or explain, you will understand that sooner or later.

…and there is love.

Whitout love there is no happy life. People choose to find love in different places. Some choose to get married and make a family, some choose to love God, and live with that. Whatever or however you choose to love, you need to do it with all your heart, that’s what makes life so important.

I will close this topic with a really nice song that I like. You can find it here. Enjoy it, and…enjoy life!

I decided that my next acquisition will be the nokia N95 (8 gb version). I will probably get it after New Year’s Eve, in January 2009.

My first thought was the new nokia E71. It has everything that I want and like in a phone. It has a decent camera, it’s an S60 (If you don’t know what an S60 is, click here), it has a querty keyboard, a big screen, etc. I’ve read a lot of reviews about it and almost all of them said, that the keyboard is not one of the best. In fact, it’s difficult to type on. The size is reduced compared to its predecessor, so therefor there is not much space for the keyboard. Afterwards, I went to the shop and had a close look at the phone. Indeed, the keyboard is kinda difficult to type on. That made me change my mind.

So, recently, I was interested about the new N95 8 gb version. It’s a very cool phone. I’m not gonna write the specs in here, you can find them on google. After reading some review and seen some videos, the only problem that phone has it’s the slider. But it seems that this is present on a lot of N95’s (or all, I’m not sure) and nokia said not to worry.

I will post my full review on the phone after I’ll get it though.

I was recentely searching for some information about a specific infection, and how to remove it. I saw a link to CastleCops on “How to fix -it- infection”. Once I clicked the link,  surprisingly, I found out that due to some problems, CastleCops’s website is closing.

They have been around the market for many years, and provided a wonderful assistance to who ever sought virus help. Its almost impossible to think that such a respected website is closing…

Go to www.castlecops.com for more information.

After reading The Pillars Of Earth, and World Whitout End (which I enjoyed a lot, great books both), I got this book after looking at some review. The book is called War and Peace, by Leo Tolstoy. Here is a preview of the book. I’m at page 375. Its the first time I read a book by Leo Tolstoy and I will(after finishing this one) buy another of his books.

I would reccomend this book to anyone.

I was surfing the MWR forum a few days ago, and found this nice threat about iq test. You can take the test in 4 different languages and you have 40 minuts to complete it.  The link to the test is available here.  Do you have 40 mins to spare? Then go take the test.

My result is 118.

What’s yours?

All things have an end. And no, nobody died. I’m just at the last episodes of the OZ series. A friend told me about the series, saying it was cool, great even. My opinion on this series, is that… it was a nice series, a bit violent sometimes though.

Here’s imdb’s link:  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118421/

Maybe I will start Joey next, just to change style a bit. I always liked his character, when I first saw him on Friends.

What series do you watch?

Here is something I got from an OZ episode. You choose to belive it or not.

“Here are some scary facts about impotence.

10 to 20 million americans suffer from impotence. 85% due to fisical causes, not related to the penis. 10% suffer because of psychological reasons, and the scary of them all, for 5% of the man who are impotente, the causes are unknown.

Diabetes, multiple sclerosis, parkinson’s, high blood presure, obesity, ageing, can all cause impotance.

Inpotence can also be the result of depression, job stress, financial worries. That’s right, a low salary can make a hard man soft.

Studies show, that even viagra which is suppose to help a fellow get an erection, can sometimes cause problems in young sexually active men. If an errection lasts more than 6 hours, the blood supplygets cut off, permanently. Well of course, after 6 hours… you don’t give a sh*t.

Drugs can cause impotance. Marijuana, heroine, steroids, so does alchool and tabacco.”

Python pharebook by Brad Dayle… I was searching on some os and os.path related command on google the other day, but since I’m not a really calm guy(I try to be most of the times), and maybe even out of clumsiness, I didn’t find it. Then I remembered that I got this small python book from a sweet old lady at the book store downtown. I quickly searched the page related to the module, and bingo…there was my answer with a nice example following it.

So…to all ya python programmers, if you don’t own a book like this, you definitely wanna get one.

Here is a preview of the book:
